Pineapple, freshly squeezed lime juice, tequila and triple sec are combined in these light, naturally sweetened & refreshing Frozen Pineapple Margaritas!
Pretty sure I’ll be slurping on the frozen pineapple margaritas from now until the end of summer.
It’s like a boozy, fruity slushy and I’m all about it!
Who wants one?
We’ve started buying pre cut pineapple chunks to keep in the fridge for easy snacking. In all honesty it feels luxurious to have pre cut fruit hanging around, but we actually bought it for Mike because of his arthritis. He’s got a difficult enough time chopping things with only one fully functioning hand, but pineapples are on another level. So pre cut fruit it is!
We’re actually trying to work on making our kitchen a little more arthritis friendly so if you have any tips send them our way! It’s his thumb on his left hand that’s fused in place so anything that requires a firm grip in both hands is tricky.
Now back to the booze!
I’m not sure what this says about me as a person, but I for one love a quality tequila and I for sure love a good margarita. With all the pineapple hanging around the progression to these frozen pineapple margaritas seemed natural.
That being said, I’ve never been too crazy about heavily sweetened margaritas. When I first starting making my own cocktails at home I used to always follow the recipe to a T which usually included large amounts of added agave, simple syrup, etc. The more I played around the more I realised that I much prefer a
little LOT of citrus/fruit juice to sweeten things up. The end result is always so light, fresh and easy to make – every thing I want out of a cocktail.
Mixing drinks doesn’t get any easier than this. Just dump your ingredients into whatever blender or food processor you have and process until smooth, frothy and delicious!

- 2 cups | 490 grams frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup | 60 ml fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup | 60 ml tequila
- 2 tablespoons | 30 ml triple sec
- 1 cup ice
- Mint leaves for garnishing
- Add everything to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and frothy.
